A-Level Graphic Design — Coursework

The work in this project was created as part of my time working the A-Level Graphic Design course in college, in the first year. The Amplo Automotive, and Street 'N' Eat projects were worked on during the second/final year.

Chicago
The first project of the course was for the College's 'Chicago' production, in which we produced a poster, and a hoodie to go with it.

Museum of Royal Worcester
Our next project was creating posters to be featured in the Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum, as part of their annual exhibition featuring the work of the college's graphic design students.

Lyrical Interpretation
In this project, we produced both a set of three A5 postcards with selected lyrics, and a poster which also featured a small selection of lyrics. I picked lyrics from Neon Dreams' 'Sick of Feeling Useless', and DJ Khaled's 'All I Do Is Win', respectively.
We also created a range of titles, featuring phrases and lyrics as part of this project.

Google Doodle
This project was simply to create a Google Doodle, to represent a chosen theme, person or event. I created mine based on Valve Software's Portal franchise, where at the time it was celebrating its 15 year anniversary. While creating an animation was not required, I felt that I couldn't create something related to Portal without giving it an animation.

Stationary Mash-up
In this project, we had a range of themes from two separate lists to pick from, to then produce a range of products for the retailer Paperchase. The themes I had picked were retro video games (perhaps aging myself!) and classical music. I grew up playing Halo, and I have played the violin in the past, and so I felt this was a natural combination for me.

Playing Cards
This project was also simple, to create a set of themed playing cards again from a selection of themes. I opted for 'film & TV', where I then did Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Other Projects
The other two projects were part of the exam. You can find the details on them here (Amplo Automotive) and here (Street 'N' Eat).
